About Us

CM LogistiX received their active status on March 6, 2020, a week before the United States government announced a full lockdown for the COVID pandemic on March 12th.  They received a few very important phone calls on that day that changed them forever. Their key starting customers paused their onboarding contracts indefinitely due to the COVID pandemic lockdown and the uncertainty that lied ahead. This left CM LogistiX in a paralyzing state with zero customers, and everyone was going home for lockdown.

Faced with such adversity Chris and Marti described it as fight or flight mode, the rush of adrenaline pumping through the body coupled with feelings of fear and anxiety. 

This forced Chris and Marti to toss out their business plan and start from scratch. This was their dream and they put everything they had into starting this business. Failure was not an option. The challenges that lay ahead were unlike anything they had ever experienced before. They had to adopt a different mindset with razor sharp focus with the discipline to work harder than they ever have before. 

This was about survival.  

You wouldn’t believe it, but Chris and Marti said this was a blessing in disguise. They didn’t know it at the time of course, as they lived the next few months in isolation working endless hours to hopefully overcome such adversity. 

During the lockdown they made hundreds of sales calls a day followed up with thousands of emails and nothing to show for it. Any conversations that were had were all the same "we're not making any changes at this time". This continued for several months. Chris and Marti kept in constant contact, always having positive conversations and if one was feeling defeated the other would pick them up but that didn't take away the desperation and panic in their voices.

It was now mid August 2020, and 5 months had gone by at this point. All this hard work was turning out to feel like a waste of time and the struggle was getting harder financially on both. The pressure was beginning to take a heavy toll on them mentally and physically. They had enough money to keep the business open for about 6 more weeks. Thoughts of defeat and giving up began to creep in but still they remained hopeful and disciplined. They trusted the process and stayed positive and confident that things would turn around. 

Not long after, with a few well timed calls that led to a few great conversations which turned into opportunities. They were able to turn these opportunities into customers. The hard work and discipline started to pay dividends and the stress and anxiety with constant fear of failure began to ease a little. It didn't matter about the size of the opportunity; they were so grateful that these individuals believed in them and ultimately took a chance with CM LogistiX. This was something they could build on and they could see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

The hard work was not over but now it was fun.

2020 came to an end and the business was still alive, maybe on life support in the ICU sorta speak but Chris and Marti determined to make it, more than quadrupled their business in 2021. 

These humble beginnings showed Chris and Marti just how strong and resilient they are when the odds are stacked against them, and faced with what can seem like an impossible task. Today they continue to grow CM LogistiX Inc by working closely with their customers and carriers.
